  • Authority Resolution No.1281, 14 September 2006, Appointment of Deputy Chief Constable:
  • To act on behalf of the Authority with full delegated power, including the ability to delegate the delivery of the agreed process to the Executive Director as appropriate, in making the appointment of a Deputy Chief Constable.
  • To act on behalf of the Authority with full delegated power, including the ability to delegate the delivery of the agreed process to the Executive Director as appropriate, to work with the Chief Constable, to fill any consequential temporary/acting chief officer appointments as a result of the Deputy Chief Constable recruitment.
  • To report progress on the appointment of the Deputy Chief Constable and any consequential appointments to each meeting of the Authority.
  • Authority Resolution No. 1306, 23 November 2006, Counter Terrorism Unit:
  • Following agreement that an additional Assistant Chief Constable post be created] “That the Authority’s Appointments Committee undertake the appointment process. The Committee membership should be the Chair, Vice Chairs, Chair of the Equalities Committee, Chair of the Personnel Committee plus one other Committee Chair.
