To monitor and review the financial strategies for the force and Authority
To monitor and review the force strategies and major projects for ICT
To ensure that the Authority’s Standing Orders relating to controls and financial regulations are followed
To oversee value for money and use of resources issues, including activity based costing and activity analysis
To monitor and review income generation and sponsorship
To recommend revisions to the approved capital budget and programme to the Authority
To monitor revenue budgets both corporate and devolved
To monitor and review the provision of corporate services other than those falling within the terms of reference of the Personnel Committee
To monitor revenue and capital expenditure, including:
oversight of the estates/property strategy
ICT projects
Oversight of procurement
To monitor the implementation of the efficiency plan
To monitor e-government issues
To have due regard, in exercising its responsibilities, to equal opportunities generally and the requirements of all equalities and anti-discrimination legislation, including implementation of the equalities schemes of both the Authority and the force
To have due regard, in exercising its responsibilities, to risk issues generally and the specific risk issues contained within the force and Authority risk registers
To consider any other matters deemed relevant to these terms of reference
